Active directory windows 10
Active directory users and computers windows 10 download
The Active Directory or Active Directory is a tool created by Microsoft that allows us to manage users and computers as well as directories within the same network. Through this Active Directory Windows 10 we can manage elements in a general way as groups or users being able to create them or managing their privacy policies. Therefore, having the Active Directory tool in a network we will be able to manage all kinds of objects inside and configure their policies at once and not individually. Within this Active Directory we will have a user with a certain configuration and that will be within a group with a certain privacy.
What many do not know until today, is that there is the possibility to install a tool in Windows 10 which gives us the opportunity to remotely manage our servers: RSAT. We will learn how to install and configure it in Windows 10.
RSAT (Remote Server Administration Tools) is a free tool developed by Microsoft which allows IT staff to remotely control and manage their servers avoiding travel and administrative costs. When using this tool we will have the following utilities at hand:
Active directory windows
Then I will explain how we can install the RSAT in Windows 10. The RSAT are the Remote Server Administrator Tools for Windows 10. With it we can remotely manage our Windows Server 2012R2, 2016 and 2019 servers both Server Core and graphical environment.
With the RSAT we will have the Server Manager in our Windows 10 and thus be able to manage our server. In addition we will have the administrative tools of each role to be able to manage it remotely.
The old way is to download the package for Windows 10, if by chance we have a Windows 10 without updating (serious mistake) we will have to go to the Microsoft website and download the following KB.

This feature is originally a part of the Windows Server administrative tools, but Microsoft has added it to the Pro and Enterprise versions of Windows to give users the ability to control things on the network/domain from any computer on the network, not just the server.
Creating groups helps you organize your domain in a better way, each group of users can have their own custom permissions, perhaps even accessing a specific drive or printer. Here’s how to add a group:
Windows server 2008 active directory
One of the main Active Directory domain management tools is the MMC Active Directory Users and Computers ( ADUC ) snap-in. The ADUC snap-in is used to perform typical domain administration tasks and manage users, groups, computers, and organizational units in the Active Directory domain. By default, the Active Directory Users and Computers console (dsa.msc) is installed on the server when it is promoted to the domain controller during installation of the Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) role.
To use the ADUC snap-in on Windows 10, you must first install the Remote Server Administration Tools ( RSAT ). RSAT includes various command line tools, PowerShell modules and graphical settings to remotely manage Windows Servers, Active Directory and other Windows roles and features, running on Windows servers.
By default, RSAT is not installed on Windows 10 (and other Windows desktop operating systems). Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) allows IT administrators to remotely manage roles and components in Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012 R2, 2012, 2008 R2 from user workstations running Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and Windows 7. RSAT resembles the Windows Server 2003 Administration Toolkit Package (adminpak.msi) that was installed on clients running Windows 2003 or Windows XP and used for remote server administration. RSAT cannot be installed on computers running Home editions of Windows. To install RSAT, you must have the Professional or Enterprise edition of Windows 10.
